In order to acquaint students with BEd course curriculum, Doraha College of Education recently organised an orientation week in the college campus.

Sukhpal Singh, chairman of Doraha Group of Institutions, told the students about the historical background of the college and extended his blessings on the new prospective teachers.

The students were acquainted with various domains of BEd course like core papers, options, work experience, co-curricular activities, community work, school experience programme, internal assessment, houses, tutorials, associations, college, library rules and regulations etc. throughout the whole week.

During the course of the orientation week, students celebrated Shaheed Bhagat Singh’s birthday with vigour to pay a sincere tribute to the martyr. A declamation and poem recitation contest was organised on the life and sacrifice of Shaheed Bhagat Singh. Megha Sharma, Gagandeep Kaur and Amritpal Kaur won the first, second and third prizes, respectively, in the contest. Pallvi Sharma was declared first in poem recitation.
